DataStore Application
DataStore is a product that consists of a Service (backend database) and
an Application (user front-end application) for logging, playback and
filtering of NMEA and NMEA-formatted data. The Service runs on any computer
with TCP connectivity,
including the same server as the LSS (DataSwitch). It can be deployed as a
local service for local use by applications like ICAN’s Horizon,
ECS, or as a shared service for use by all. Data stored in the AIS database can
be queried and played back into Horizon or another ECS system or
application.
DataStore stores all NMEA data and can easily play back data streams for
different operators.
The replay aspect can be controlled to jump to different locations as well
as change the rate of playback.
The Service can record data from DataSwitch or from the DataStore application. The
former also provides base station data
(or any other bottom connection of DataSwitch). The latter provides data
from Horizon, ICAN's ECS and third-party applications/ECSs.

DataStore Application Playback Toolbar (as shown in
Horizon/ECS)
The DataStore Application is the user interface. It connects to the
DataStore Service; and it accepts connections for Record and Playback from
display clients (Horizon, ECS, DataSwitch, Seascape, etc). Users can record,
playback, and query the data depending on their user permissions.
